Pemanfaatan Artificial Intelligence dalam Pembelajaran Ekonomi di Perguruan Tinggi

Abstract

This study aims to examine the forms, benefits, and challenges of implementing Artificial Intelligence (AI) in economics education at the higher education level. The research method used is a literature review, analyzing various national and international open-access publications published between 2020 and 2025 that are relevant to the topic. The results show that AI is applied in the form of virtual tutors, educational chatbots, and adaptive learning systems that significantly improve both the effectiveness and efficiency of learning. AI facilitates faster understanding of economic concepts, provides instant feedback, and reduces lecturers’ administrative workload. However, its implementation also faces several challenges, such as limited infrastructure, low digital readiness among educators, algorithmic bias risks, and weak protection of students’ personal data. Therefore, comprehensive and ethical policy support, along with institutional capacity building, is essential to ensure that the integration of AI into economics education is optimal, inclusive, and sustainable.
