INTEGRASI NILAI-NILAI KEARIFAN LOKAL DALAM PENGEMBANGAN CIVIC EKOLOGIS

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the integration of Lampung local wisdom values in developing 
ecological citizenship to strengthen citizens’ environmental awareness. Environmental issues 
such as deforestation, pollution, and natural resource exploitation highlight the need for 
culturally based approaches. Values such as piil pesenggiri, sakai sambayan, and nemui nyimah 
reflect responsibility, mutual cooperation, and social awareness, which align with ecological 
civic principles. This study uses a literature review method with a descriptive-analytical 
approach. The novelty of this article lies in integrating Lampung local wisdom into 
environmentally based civic education. The results show that this integration can strengthen 
environmental awareness, increase community participation, and encourage the development 
of responsible citizens toward environmental sustainability.
