STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS PIIL PESINGGURI DALAM MENINGKATKAN CIVIC ENGAGEMENT GENERASI MUDA

Abstract

This study aims to analyze learning methods that focus on the local wisdom values of Piil 
Pesenggiri to increase social engagement among the younger generation. The background of 
this research is based on the phenomenon of low social and political participation, caused by the 
dominance of digital technology that tends to give rise to individualistic and apathetic attitudes.

The importance of this writing lies in the need for education that is not only oriented towards 
academic results, but also in forming a comprehensive civic character. The method used in this 
study is a descriptive qualitative approach, through literature review, observation of social 
phenomena, and analysis of learning practices of Citizenship Education (PKn) and Social 
Sciences (IPS). The novelty of this research is the integration of local Lampung values, namely 
Nemui Nyimah, Nengah Nyappur, Sakai Sambayan, and Juluk Adek—into contextual 
learning models such as Problem Based Learning and Project Based Learning. The research 
results show that internalizing the values of Piil Pesenggiri can increase students' empathy, 
solidarity, and social participation, making it relevant as a character education strategy in the 
digital age and a potential solution to the moral crisis facing the younger generation.
