Author Guidelines

  1. Articles written for Jurnal Penelitian Geografi are in accordance with the focus and themes that we have determined in the Focuse & Scope
  2. Section, All manuscripts are written in Indonesian and submitted online through the website http://jurnal.fkip.unila.ac.id/index.php/JPG/index . If there are any difficulties, please contact us via +62 896-3114-2448 or +62 858-0993-7263.
  3. Manuscript writing format (paper size, margins, font type, font size, and style) must follow the template we have provided disini.
  4. The title of the article should consist of 5-14 syllables with a font size of 14 pt.
  5. The abstract is written in English (italicized) and Indonesian with a font size of 9 pts. The number of words in the abstract is limited to 150-200 syllables.
  6. Keywords are written in two languages (English and Indonesian) with a total of 3-5 keywords.
  7. The author must complete the author's identity which includes email address and institution of origin.
  8. The systematic writing of research articles is as follows.
  • The introduction is a section that consists of the background of the research, literature review as the basis for the research problem, hypothesis, and research objectives. This section is presented in paragraph form and without a title section.

  • The results and discussion section describes and explains the findings obtained from research data that are associated with the hypothesis and compared with theory and similar research.

  • The conclusion section answers the hypothesis, research objectives, findings, and discussion above as well as suggestions for future research. The conclusion should be written in a paragraph.

  • Acknowledgements (Optional) Acknowledge those who have helped in the research, especially your research funding supporters. Include individuals who have helped you in your study: Advisors, Financial supporters, or perhaps other supporters, i.e. Proofreaders, Typists, and Suppliers, who may have provided materials. Do not acknowledge any of the authors by name.

  • References, all references used in the article should be listed in this section. In this section, all references used must be taken from primary sources (scientific journals at least 80% of all references) published in the last ten years. Each article should have at least 30 references.

  • Each section heading is written in a different type (all section headings and sub-sections are written in bold or italic):

  • Heading 1 (Title case, Bold, Justify-Alignment, 11 pt, and numbering format: 1., etc.)
  • Heading 2 (Title case, italic, justify-alignment, 11 pt, and numbering format: 1.1, etc.)
  • Heading 3 (Title case, italic bold, justify-alignment, 11 pt, and numbering format: 3.1.2, etc.)
  • The format of tables and figures can be seen in the template.
  • The format for writing the bibliography and citations follows the APA (American Psychological Association) 6th edition writing style. References must be sorted 12. in alphabetical and chronological order. We recommend using a reference management application such as Mendeley, End Note, or Zotero. Writing examples can be seen in the template.
