About the Journal

Jurnal Penelitian Geografi (JPG) is an academic journal that publishes research articles on a wide range of geography-related topics. The journal focuses on studies in  Geography, including Physical Geography, Human Geography, Disaster Geography, Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS). The journal aims to advance scientific understanding and support the development of geographic knowledge through high-quality, peer-reviewed research.

Open Access Policy

Open Access Statement - This journal provides direct open access to its content based on the principle that making research freely available to the public will support greater global knowledge exchange.                                                                 
 
The benefits of open access for authors include:

  • everyone has free and unrestricted access to the full text of all articles published in the journal Jurnal Penelitian Geografi;

  • everyone is free to reuse published material if proper accreditation/citation of the original publication is provided;

  • this open access publication is supported by the author's institution or research funding agency by paying a relatively low Article Processing Charge (APC) for accepted articles.

Jurnal Penelitian Geografi (JPG) Open Access articles are published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License. (CC-BY licenses) allow commercial and non-commercial reuse of open access articles as long as the author is properly credited - Works/articles in this journal are bound by the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 International License.

Article Processing Charge

This journal charges the following author fees:

Article Submission: 0.00 (IDR)

Article Publication: 300.000 (IDR)*

*) Article proofread fee not including publication fee 

Journal policies related to not being charged publication fees include:

  1. Author's only covers the cost of proofreading to improve the linguistic quality of our journal and if you have objections to the publication fee, we will provide a decision for "FREE" if the article has a quality that meets JPG standards.
  2. Publication fees for author's from International author's (Non Indonesian) / authors collaborating with International author's (Non Indonesian) minimum 2 author no charge for publication or “FREE” fees.

Journal Archiving

Open Journal Systems supports the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system to ensure secure and permanent preservation of your journal. You have several options for including your journal in a LOCKSS network:

PKP Private LOCKSS Network

Any OJS journal that has an ISSN and has published at least one article can choose to agree to the terms of use and be preserved in the PKP PLN at no cost.

To join, go to Generic Plugins, find PKP PLN Plugin, select Enable, and then select Settings, and accept the Terms of Use. Your content will then be automatically included in the network. No further action is required.
