Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi Artificial Intelligence (AI) telah memberikan kemudahan dalam berbagai bidang, termasuk pendidikan. Namun, dibalik efisiensi yang ditawarkan, terdapat kekhawatiran akan potensi dampak negatifnya terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan AI terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa program studi pendidikan geografi universitas lampung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif analatik. sampel penelitian berjumlah 61 mahasiswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik cluster sampling. data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan analisis menggunaan uji regresi linier sederhana. Hasli penelitian menunjukan adanya pengaruh negatif yang signifikan antara penggunaan AI terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis. Hal ini ditunjukan dengan nilai koefisien determinasi (R Square) sebesar 0,110 (11%), yang mengindikasikan bahwa semakin tinggi intensitas penggunaan AI, semakin cenderung menurun kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. meskipun demikian, mayoritas responden masih menunjukan kemampuan yang baik pada tiga indikator utama berpikir kritis: analisis, explanation, dan inference. berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan AI wajib diimbangi dengan peningkatan literasi digital dan pembiasaan verifikasi informasi guna menjaga dan mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa.
