Rapid urbanization in the Jabodetabek metropolitan area has intensified peak-hour commuter mobility along the Bekasi–Dukuh Atas corridor, creating direct head-to-head competition between the newly operated Jabodebek LRT (offering higher comfort and reliability at a premium fare) and the existing KRL Commuter Line (offering subsidized fares amidst severe peak-hour crowding). This study aims to analyze commuter mode choice preferences under intermodal rail competition by integrating behavioral discrete choice modeling and spatial analysis. An explanatory quantitative approach was employed through a Stated Preference (SP) survey of 406 respondents, analyzed using Binary Logistic Regression and Geographic Information System (GIS) Kernel Density Estimation (KDE). The results indicate that monthly income ( ) and travel time savings ( ) are the primary determinants of mode shift, explaining 28.0% of choice variance (Nagelkerke ). High-income commuters (> IDR 10 million/month) exhibit a 92.65% probability of shifting from KRL to LRT when offered a 15-minute travel time reduction despite a IDR 5,000 fare difference. Spatially, mode-shift probability hotspots overlap with upper-middle-income clusters within a 1–3 km station radius in West Bekasi and East Bekasi, though first-mile access remains heavily dependent on motorcycle taxis (36.7%) and private vehicles (33.3%). These findings imply that without intermodal fare integration, the Jabodebek LRT risks becoming an exclusive transit mode for affluent commuters. Policy interventions should prioritize integrated feeder networks, pedestrian infrastructure, Park and Ride facilities in West and East Bekasi, and cross-modal fare subsidies to ensure socially inclusive transit accessibility
